Trunch Concerts - Music in a historic Norfolk Church
Concert in June 2017

Important note. The scheduled concert at St Nicholas, Swafield, for September 2nd has had to be amended, due to the Rocking Bishop, the Rt Revd Jonathan Meyrick, being indisposed on that date due to a change in his pastoral schedule. There will now be TWO separate concerts at Swafield Church: the first, on August 6th given by the Rocking Bishop; the second, still on September 2nd, given entirely by the Mirliton Flute Ensemble. From September 30th the concerts will all be back at Trunch Church with the scheduled evening of music for Soprano, Cello and Piano. Thank you for your understanding! We look forward to your continued support.

SUNDAY 6th August   at  7.30 pm
at St Nicholas Church, Swafield *

Hits of Rock

The Right Revd. Jonathan Meyrick

*Since 2014 St Nicholas Swafield has come under the auspices of St Botolph’s Church Trunch.

This concert will raise money for the maintenance of Swafield’s lovely, but under-used church.

The Bishop of Lynn, The Right Revd. Jonathan Meyrick, is held in great esteem locally. He last visited the area only a short while ago to consecrate the new kitchen facilities at Trunch Church and the restored angel roof at Knapton Church. This time, August 6th, he will be at Swafield Church displaying his musical credentials. Bishop Jonathan is a natural on the stage, noted for his persuasive performances of rock classics. His 2013 album included Wild Thing, Satisfaction (I Can’t Get No), Nights In White Satin, I’m A Believer, Words, Happy Together, I Can’t Control Myself and much more!
